24hrs without Sleep!!!!

Have now been awake for 24hrs...with very few zzzz on the flight....i am exhausted...luckily waffle prepared on flight! 

I did intend to post this from Heathrow, but just ran out of time! Huge queue on the M25 resulted in a detour as instructed by the 'French Tart' navigation system.....otherwise known as Ste's Peugeot...across London....C&L we did wave at your flat as we whizzed past...could have even found time to stop at Peter Jones darlings!!!!!!

At Heathrow...Terminal 5....his nibs had a very worried look on his face...

A) Wife in possession of plastic...and there are loads of duty free shops.....

B) In order to purchase from duty free...wife needs boarding pass! 

C) Wife has habit of losing things and also being late for flights! 

In response and defence your honour! 

A) I like to mooch duty free...being married to birder means I have curtailed the female art of regular shopping...the ultimate sacrifice ladies! 

B) Boarding Pass..loss of said item is the main worry of hubby...Ha...I have never lost a BP...whilst his nibs has lost two...my fault apparently...

C) Late for flights....I concede.....but it's not my fault that Oslo duty free is full of Moomins and Tel Aviv has lots of armed guards who were most displeased with the loss of boarding pass... Ste's not mine!

As an aside, the trimming of the unruly mop on Friday was entertaining....the 12 year old that washed my hair...asked the usual question....'what are you doing this weekend?'....I'm going to Denver....which was met by 'where's that?'.....Colorado I replied...'where's that?' .....America...almost expected another 'where's that'...further chatting revealed that she did not know where Myanmar, Uganda or Trinidad and Tobago are...though knew that Disney Land Paris was in France....what do they teach kids these days....yup now I know am definitely in the over fifty club...though she did think getting married at a drive through in Las Vegas was.....Cool! 

Watch this space for potential updates of birding adventures...we have not come to blows in Heathrow & I am in possession of new Ray-bans......Cool!!!!!!

It's forecast snow in Denver!......lovely!!!!!
