'Your looking for Chickens....that's interesting'...is often followed by that type of smile which suggests that the person who you are talking too...is a) somewhat bemused by your choice of hobby and holiday or b) thinks you stark raving bonkers....in the case of my work colleagues I think it's the latter!
On the pre-holiday prep activities ..the battle of the packing has begun at number 43! I am in receipt of very stern looks from his nibs as I add daily to the 'I might take this pile' in the spare room. Ladies, I am sure you will agree, one can never have enough clothes.....boys on the other hand would continue to wear the same shirt for a week given half the chance. My sweet pea advocates 'the less clothes...more hand washing regime'......though he has been known to wash the occasional passport...rendering it unreadable...leading to a momentary sense of panic as US customs looked very oddly at us both.... don't your just love um!
Pre holiday twitch this weekend to Cambridgeshire...but sadly dipped on target bird! However I have seen the first swallow of the year...these little beasties make me remember the world is indeed a wonderful place!
Only 5 days to go and 1 visit to the hairdressers to tame the unruly mop! Bring on the Chickens!
